The members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Azerbaijan and military representatives who visited Aghdam got acquainted with the construction works of the Barda-Aghdam railway and highway, APA reports.
The guests were given detailed information about the design and construction of both roads.
It was stressed that the construction of the Barda-Aghdam highway which is one of the road infrastructure projects implemented in the territory of Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur economic regions of Azerbaijan nears completion. The length of the road, built in accordance with technical grade I, is 44.5 meters.
While informing foreign diplomats and military representatives about the Barda-Aghdam railway line, it was said that the construction of the railway line is scheduled to be finished in the current year.
Note that about 100 diplomats and military personnel from 45 countries and 12 international organizations are participating in the visit. The main purpose of the trip is to get acquainted with the current road infrastructure potential of the Karabakh economic zone, especially the Aghdam-Khankandi highway, as well as the Barda-Aghdam railway. At the same time, guests will be informed about the destruction caused in Agdham during the nearly 30-year occupation. It is planned that the guests will get acquainted with the large-scale construction works currently underway in the city.

The members of the diplomatic corps and military representatives accredited in Azerbaijan have visited Khachinchay bridge constructed on the Aghdam-Khankandi road within the framework of their trip to Aghdam, APA reports.
They got acquainted with the construction works being carried out on the road. Here the guests were briefed about the motorway and Aghdam-Barda railway.
Diplomats were shown the area where the Russian peacekeeping contingent deployed on the Aghdam-Khankandi road. It was asserted that the roads are open for humanitarian purposes. This road connects the mountainous and lowland parts of Garabagh. Unfortunately, Armenians are still preventing the opening of this road.
