Aghdara: Representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan have visited Vangli village in the Aghdara district, APA's correspondent dispatched to Karabakh reports. The visit aimed to familiarize foreign diplomats with the historical and cultural heritage of the region.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the guests had the opportunity to visit the Ganjasar Monastery, a significant historical site in the region. They were provided with detailed information about the history of the monastery, which holds cultural importance for the area.

The Ganjasar Monastery complex, known for its architectural features, includes a church, a special entrance hall, and several auxiliary buildings. The complex is fortified with walls and has two gates located on the southern and western sides. Additional structures such as cells and rooms are attached to the northern and southern walls.

The church, positioned near the southern gate of the complex, was founded by Albanian Prince Hasan Jalal between the years 1216 and 1238. This historical context adds to the significance of the site, making it an essential stop for diplomatic visitors seeking to understand the region's heritage.
