Baku: Foreign participants of an international scientific conference in Baku recently visited the Khudavang Monastery in the Kalbajar District. As reported, the conference, titled “Protection of Ancient Human Settlements: Threats and Modern Approaches,” took place on March 14 at the Heydar Aliyev Center and was organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the event attracted scientists, researchers, experts, and representatives from international organizations. The conference featured panel discussions on topics such as “Ancient Human Settlements – The Cradle of Cultural Heritage,” “Ancient Human Settlements in the Face of Climate Change and Armed Conflicts,” and “Ancient Human Settlements of Azerbaijan as Part of World Heritage: The Urgent Need for Protection.”

On March 16, the foreign attendees were given the opportunity to visit the Khudavang Monastery. The participants left the historic site with rich impressions, further emphasizing the importance of protecting ancient human settlements as discussed during the conference.
