Baku: The 13th Global Baku Forum is a very important event, former President of Latvia Valdis Zatlers told journalists, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Zatlers emphasized the difficulty of finding solutions under current global circumstances but expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for hosting the forum. He underscored the complexities surrounding Europe and the importance of the discussions held at the event.

Zatlers remarked on the ease of creating crises and the challenges in resolving them. He emphasized the need for wisdom in learning from past mistakes, both personal and those of others. He pointed out that resolving today's issues extends beyond military power to achieving an asymmetric balance. In the current global scenario, small armies and states have the capacity to resist larger powers. He stressed that each nation's unique historical experiences and memories must be considered when seeking solutions to their challenges.
