Jabrayil: President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva participated in the ground-breaking ceremonies for several new enterprises in the Araz Valley Economic Zone industrial park in Jabrayil district.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov briefed the President on the progress of the industrial park, which covers 200 hectares and focuses on logistics, trade, and production. The park, established by Presidential decree, has attracted 13 residents and 1 non-resident, with total investments expected to reach 133.8 million AZN and more than 2,000 jobs created.
Among the new projects, Lithuania’s Dominari company will develop a five-phase furniture cluster, with investments exceeding 50 million AZN. The cluster is expected to create 650 jobs and produce 6,000 tons of flexible polyurethane, 250,000 pieces of furniture, and more.
Additionally, President Aliyev laid foundation stones for two factories: Karabakh Stone LLC, which will produce decorative paving stones with a 7.8 million AZN investment, and Prestij-Kimya LLC, which will manufacture disinfectants and detergents with a 5.8 million AZN investment.
