Aghdam: Four people have died in a road accident on the Aghdam-Khankendi highway, specifically near the village of Chukhurmahla in Azerbaijan's Aghdam district.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the accident involved a collision between a 'KIA' passenger car and a 'VAZ-2106' vehicle. Initially, three fatalities were reported, with four individuals sustaining injuries of varying severity. Subsequently, another seriously injured victim succumbed to their injuries, bringing the total number of fatalities to four.
Emergency medical teams were promptly dispatched to the accident site. Rescuers from the Karabakh Regional Center of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Emergency Situations recovered the bodies trapped inside the mangled vehicles and transferred them to the appropriate authorities.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation as authorities continue to gather more information.
