Bradley Barcola added to the tally with a goal in the 82nd minute. Despite a late goal from Senegal's Ibrahim Mbaye in the 90+5th minute, France maintained their lead to secure the win.
With this victory, France leads Group I with 3 points. The group also includes Norway and Iraq, who will face each other in the upcoming matches. On June 23, France will play against Iraq, while Senegal will compete against Norway.
The FIFA World Cup, hosted in the US, Canada, and Mexico, will conclude on July 19. This tournament marks the first time 48 teams are participating, expanding the competition. The defending world champion is Argentina, who won the previous World Cup.
