France to lift indoor mask mandate from February 28

The French government announced on Friday that face masks will no longer be required indoors in places covered by the vaccine pass starting from February 28, APA reports citing Teletrader.

The mask mandate will be lifted in places such as bars, restaurants and theaters, but it will be maintained in public transport.

Meanwhile, the government is considering halting the use of the vaccine pass at the end of March or the beginning of April, depending on the epidemiological situation. The pass entered into force on January 24, while the outdoor mask mandate was lifted on February 2.
