BAKU: Cargo transportation along the Middle Corridor is set to be powered entirely by green energy, according to Rovshan Rustamov, Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, as reported by APA-Economics.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Rustamov shared these developments with journalists, highlighting an ongoing project with the Asian Development Bank focused on decarbonization. He noted that representatives from the Asian Development Bank recently visited Baku and preliminarily agreed to provide additional grants aimed at supporting the decarbonization of railway operations. This initiative is expected to nearly guarantee that freight transportation along the Middle Corridor will operate with 100% green energy.
