Baku: The meeting of the Working Group of the Legal Entities Union of the “Trans-Caspian International Transport Route” International Association (TITR IA) was held today in Baku, APA-Economics reports. Delegations from 10 countries, including representatives from railway administrations and senior officials of transport companies of the member states of the association, participated in the meeting.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, it was noted during the event that the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, also known as the Middle Corridor, has become a globally significant freight route in recent years. The meeting emphasized the increasing cargo transportation on this route and the importance of operational efficiency, the application of digital solutions, and deepening cooperation to ensure rapid cargo flow.

The meeting included a review of the 2024 activity report of the Executive Body of TITR IA and an analysis of freight transportation along the Trans-Caspian route. Participants discussed amendments to the approved tariff rates for TITR for 2025, a draft agreement on digitalization, as well as draft agreements on organizing feeder connections between Caspian Sea ports and ensuring the loading of feeder vessels.

Additionally, the parties agreed on the 2025 freight transportation plan for TITR and the measures for its implementation, emphasizing the priority of container transportation to Europe via the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway. The protocol of the Working Group was signed at the end of the meeting.

It was noted that the next event of the “Trans-Caspian International Transport Route” International Association, the General Assembly meeting, will be held on March 4 in Baku.
