Freight Truck Transportation by ASCO Ferries Sees 6% Growth in First Half of 2026

Baku: The volume of freight truck transportation via ferries operated by ASCO, a company within AZCON Holding, has increased by 6% in the first half of 2026 compared to the same period last year. This growth reflects the company's expanding operations and the rising demand for efficient transport solutions.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the ferries transported 515,033 tons of freight trucks during the first half of this year, up from 486,926 tons in the same period in 2025. The highest monthly performance was recorded in June 2026, with 116,365 tons of cargo vehicles transported. This represents a significant 41.4% increase compared to the 85,804 tons transported in June the previous year.

The increase in freight volume is expected to continue as ASCO persists in optimizing its operations and expanding its service offerings.
