Baku: Fuad Gahramanli claims they received directives from Ali Karimli to take control of the Milli Majlis and Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting CJSC, amid a march in Baku on the night of July 14-15, 2020. Plans were allegedly devised to seize these significant administrative buildings during the march, reports APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the State Security Service disclosed information implicating Ramiz Mehdiyev, Abbas Abbasov, Ali Karimli, and others in the plot. The indictment suggests that Karimli, in collaboration with these individuals, orchestrated activities during the citizens' march, which was intended to support the Azerbaijani army and protest the hostilities in the Karabakh region by Armenia. Karimli allegedly instructed Fuad Gahramanli and other party representatives to infiltrate the march, replace patriotic chants with inciting messages, and exploit the ensuing chaos to seize the Milli Majlis and AzTV buildings, ultimately declaring a power takeover via mass media.

The State Security Service's released video includes a confession from Fuad Gahramanli, acknowledging the receipt of such instructions.
