Baku: During a court session on March 6 at the Baku Military Court, the accused, Garik Martirosyan, confessed to his presence at key locations during both the First and Second Karabakh Wars, APA reports. Martirosyan admitted to being stationed at front-line posts in the Aghdam region during the First Karabakh War. He further revealed, “During the Second Karabakh War, we were in Askeran. I was there throughout the 44-day war.”
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the trial is addressing serious accusations against Armenian citizens related to Armenia’s military actions. These accusations include crimes against peace and humanity, war crimes, preparation and conduct of aggressive warfare, genocide, violations of the laws and customs of war, terrorism, and the financing of terrorism, among numerous other charges. The court proceedings are set to continue on March 10, as the legal process seeks to address these grave allegations.
