Brussels: Gas storage levels in European Union countries have fallen below 46%, APA-Economics reports, citing the Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE) association. Storage levels currently stand at around 45.6%, down from 56.5% in the same period last year and 15.1 percentage points below the five-year average.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the total volume of gas in EU storage facilities is 50.4 billion cubic meters. During the heating season, which began on October 13, European countries have withdrawn nearly 46 billion cubic meters of gas. Since December 31, 2020, Azerbaijani gas has been transported to Europe via the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP).
