BAKU: A delegation led by Maixent Raoul Ominga, General Director of the National Oil Company of the Republic of Congo, visited Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS). The visit underscored the ongoing collaboration between Azerbaijan and the Republic of Congo in the field of oil and gas education. According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting included Congolese students currently pursuing bachelor's degrees at BHOS. Elmar Gasimov, Rector of Baku Higher Oil School, emphasized the significance of this partnership, highlighting its pivotal role in equipping Congolese students with professional skills. Maixent Raoul Ominga acknowledged the importance of acquiring modern knowledge and skills in the oil and gas industry. He noted that international experience would enhance the career prospects for Congolese youth. The meeting concluded with discussions on further strengthening cooperation and possible future projects. During his visit, Ominga toured the Student House to observe the living conditions of the stude nts. Currently, eight Congolese students are studying Petroleum Engineering and Chemical Engineering at BHOS under a Memorandum of Understanding between the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the National Oil Company of the Republic of the Congo.
