Ankara: 'Significant transformations are taking place in the petrochemical sector, with Trkiye being one of the countries holding major advantages in this area,' Kenan Mirzayev, General Manager of Petkim Petrokimya Holding Inc., a unit of SOCAR Trkiye, said in an interview with Turkish newspaper Hrriyet.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Mirzayev emphasized that Trkiye's industrial expertise, qualified workforce, strong domestic market dynamics, investment opportunities, and advanced production infrastructure create substantial opportunities for the country in the period ahead. He highlighted that the world is entering a new era where competition is not only based on production capacity but also on supply security, efficiency, and adaptability to changing market needs.

Mirzayev pointed out that Trkiye's strategic location at the intersection of Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, combined with its advanced industrial infrastructure and growing domestic market, positions it to become a regional hub for petrochemical production and supply. He further noted that due to Trkiye's high dependence on imports, especially petrochemical products, enhancing local production capacity is strategically important for both the industry and the overall Turkish economy.
