BAKU: The Georgian Sakaeronavigatsiya company has announced a tender for the construction of a new radar station, which will be located in Kakheti, near the village of Ninotsminda, Trend reports.
According to the information, the cost of the project, including construction, equipment and arrangement of the access road, is 7.2 million lari (approximately $2.6 million).
It is reported that another radar station will be built in response to increased air traffic. Last year, the average use of Georgian airspace reached 637 per day.
It is noted that Sakaeronavigatsiya provides air traffic services and flight safety in Georgian airspace.
