Georgia to Maintain Strategic Role Amid Azerbaijan-Armenia Peace Accord

Tbilisi: Georgia will retain its strategic functions following the establishment of peace and trade relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, according to Irakli Kadagishvili, Chairman of the Committee on Regional Policy and Self-Government of the Georgian Parliament. Kadagishvili addressed journalists to assure that Georgia's position in the region remains significant despite the recent peace developments.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Kadagishvili emphasized that the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia marks the end of a prolonged 35-year conflict. He highlighted that this newfound peace presents significant opportunities for growth in trade, logistics, and transport within the South Caucasus region. Kadagishvili expressed optimism about the potential for regional development, indicating that Georgia will continue to play a crucial role in these emerging opportunities.
