Georgian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Zurab Pataradze, to Leave Post in 2025


BAKU—Zurab Pataradze, the Ambassador of Georgia to Azerbaijan, will step down from his post on January 1, 2025, as confirmed by a decision published on the Georgian government’s website. Pataradze’s rotation period as ambassador will come to an end, though it remains unclear whether he will be appointed to another diplomatic position.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Pataradze has served as Georgia’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan since 2018. Prior to this, he led the Adjara government from 2016 to 2018 and has also held ambassadorial roles in Turkey and Kazakhstan.
