Georgian Parliament Speaker: Peace in the South Caucasus Will Benefit All Three Countries

Tbilisi: “Georgia has always been the biggest supporter of a peaceful resolution of the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and recent events are a good opportunity to start a new stage in terms of regional development,” said Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili at a meeting with Sisak Gabrielyan, head of the Armenian Parliament’s Committee on Science, Education, Diaspora, Sports and Youth, APA’s local bureau reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the parties discussed the processes taking place in the South Caucasus region. It was emphasized that regional peace would bring great benefits to all three countries in the region.

The meeting noted the fruitful cooperation between the legislative bodies of Georgia and Armenia and the positive dynamics of mutual visits.
