Tbilisi: Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze emphasized the inclusion of the Black Sea submarine cable in the European Union's list of projects of mutual interest, asserting that such interconnections are not feasible without Georgia's involvement, as reported by 1TV.ge. Kobakhidze's remarks came in response to a journalist's inquiry regarding the strategic infrastructure project.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Kobakhidze stressed the importance of strengthening strategic ties and connectivity between Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Trkiye. He highlighted the efforts being made by the government to achieve these goals, acknowledging the expert recognition of Georgia's pivotal role in establishing and enhancing such infrastructure links.

Kobakhidze noted that the EU document, prepared from an expert perspective, recognized the Black Sea submarine cable as a project of mutual interest. This cable functions both as an electricity and a digital cable, underscoring its significance in regional connectivity. He expressed hope that pragmatic considerations would guide the development of these strategic ties.
