Georgian Railways: Strategic BTK Project Completed Through Effective Cooperation with Azerbaijan

Tbilisi: 'The Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project has been completed thanks to effective cooperation with Azerbaijan,' Director General of Georgian Railways Lasha Abashidze told journalists, APA's local bureau reports. He noted that a new transport project is being added to the Middle Corridor today.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Director General highlighted the significance of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project, describing it as an important and strategic initiative. Abashidze emphasized that the project will enhance Georgia's transit capabilities, contributing to the region's freight transportation network.

An event marking the reopening of the modernized Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line, a crucial freight transportation route in the region, is set to take place today at the Akhalkalaki railway and logistics complex in Georgia.
