Today, Azerbaijan observes the Day of Restoration of Independence, a significant national holiday. This day commemorates the adoption of the Constitutional Act “On the State Independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan” by the nation’s Supreme Council on October 18, 1991. This crucial act established the Republic of Azerbaijan as the successor to the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic.
