BAKU: The German Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Ralf Horlemann, has taken to social media to celebrate Azerbaijan’s Independence Restoration Day, which marks the anniversary of the nation’s independence on October 18.
According to Trend News Agency, Ambassador Horlemann posted a message on his X page expressing his congratulations to Azerbaijan. “I want to congratulate Azerbaijan on the anniversary of its independence,” the publication quoted his post. This gesture highlights the diplomatic ties and goodwill shared between Germany and Azerbaijan.
Today, Azerbaijan observes the Day of Restoration of Independence, a significant national holiday. This day commemorates the adoption of the Constitutional Act “On the State Independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan” by the nation’s Supreme Council on October 18, 1991. This crucial act established the Republic of Azerbaijan as the successor to the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic.
