German Ambassador Concludes His Mission in Azerbaijan

Baku: Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov held a meeting with German Ambassador Ralf Horlemann on June 19, as the ambassador concluded his diplomatic mission in the country.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, discussions during the meeting centered on the current state and future prospects of Azerbaijan-Germany relations. Both officials emphasized the importance of enhancing political dialogue and cooperation in various fields, including trade, economy, energy security, green energy, transport, communications, education, healthcare, culture, and humanitarian affairs.

The meeting underscored the significance of reciprocal visits and high-level contacts in fostering bilateral relations. It also highlighted the need to strengthen cooperation, particularly among business communities.

Minister Bayramov provided the outgoing diplomat with an update on the post-conflict situation in the region, the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process, and Azerbaijan's ongoing restoration efforts in its liberated territories.

Furthermore, the discussions emphasized the outcomes of the COP29 Conference hosted in Baku, which played a role in advancing the global climate agenda. The meeting reviewed cooperation in renewable energy and the transition to green energy.

Other regional and international issues of mutual concern were also addressed during the meeting.
