“After Russia started a war in Ukraine, Azerbaijan has become Europe’s important energy partner,” said Ambassador of Germany to Azerbaijan Ralf Horlemann at the discussions with students at ADA University, APA reports.

According to him, along with gas and oil resources, Azerbaijan has renewable energy resources. The ambassador noted that opportunities for cooperation with Europe are large in this field.

The ambassador added that the Russia-Ukraine war also impacted traditional trade roads and communication. Thus trade road between Europe and Asia through Russia was restricted.

“Now Middle corridor emerged and Azerbaijan has a significant role here and there are wide opportunities for Azerbaijan,” noted the diplomat.
