German Foreign Office Emphasizes Importance of Peace and Stability in South Caucasus

Berlin: The German Foreign Office has highlighted the significance of peace and stability in the South Caucasus region, marking the first anniversary of the Peace Summit held in Washington on August 8 last year. This summit, supported by then US President Donald Trump, played a crucial role in establishing peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the German Foreign Office shared a post on X commemorating the summit's anniversary. The office noted the historic momentum created in the relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan due to the Washington-hosted event. The message urged both countries to continue progressing along this path of peace.

The German Foreign Office reiterated its commitment to supporting peace efforts in the region, emphasizing that peace and stability in the South Caucasus are of collective interest. Germany, alongside its EU and US partners, pledged to continue its support for this ongoing process.
