Baku: Iran and Azerbaijan have consistently supported each other, even in challenging times, according to Speaker of Iran's Islamic Consultative Assembly Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf. This statement was made during a meeting with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, on June 24, as reported by APA.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf emphasized that this mutual support serves as an example of the unity and solidarity that exists between the two nations. He noted that the war highlighted the significance of maintaining strong relations with Muslim countries for Iran.
The Iranian parliament speaker further stated that through the war, Iran identified its true allies and adversaries. He highlighted Azerbaijan as a country that stood by Iran as a friend during these trying times.
