Baku: The Minister for Works, Housing and Water Resources of Ghana, Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, emphasized the critical importance of discussions held at the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13). During a session titled 'Building Safe and Resilient Cities and Communities through South-South and Triangular Cooperation: Innovative Partnerships and Solutions for the Rapidly Urbanizing Global South,' Adjei conveyed his gratitude to the Government of Azerbaijan for fostering enhanced solidarity and cooperation among Global South nations.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Adjei noted that urbanization in the Global South is occurring at an unprecedented pace. As cities transform into economic powerhouses, they also face significant challenges such as inadequate infrastructure, housing shortages, climate change vulnerabilities, and service provision gaps. The discussions at WUF13, he argued, are timely and necessary to address these pressing issues effectively.
