Global South NGO Platform Highlights Water Resource Mismanagement at World Urban Forum

Baku: The pavilion of the Global South NGO Platform was dedicated to issues related to water scarcity and the improper management of water resources, with the participation of representatives from different countries and cities, Fuad Karimli, Secretary General of the Global South NGO Platform (GSNP), told journalists at the pavilion of the Global South NGO Platform organized within the framework of the World Urban Forum, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, representatives from various countries participated in the pavilion within the framework of the Global South NGO Platform. The speakers represented Pakistan, Lebanon, Nigeria, and Oman.

During the panel discussions, views were exchanged on how water resources should be managed in order to build sustainable cities of the future. At the same time, the impact of improper water resource management, particularly on women and youth, was discussed. The speakers also highlighted the principles on which the cities of the future should be built.
