In the United States, the Dow Jones index saw a decrease of 0.91%, closing at 37,965.60 points. Meanwhile, the S and P 500 index experienced a slight drop of 0.23%, reaching 5,062.25 points. Conversely, the Nasdaq index managed a modest increase of 0.10%, ending at 15,603.26 points.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, European stock markets also faced a downturn on the same day. The FTSE 100 index in the UK fell by 4.38%, closing at 7,702.08 points. France’s CAC-40 index recorded a significant decrease of 4.78%, settling at 6,927.12 points, while Germany’s DAX index declined by 4.13%, ending at 19,789.62 points.
In the global currency markets, the euro saw an increase in its exchange rate against the dollar, rising by 0.49% to reach 1.0965 USD. This shift in currency value reflects broader economic trends impacting international markets during this period.
