New york: On the American stock markets, the Dow Jones Industrial Average index increased by 0.58% to 50,579.70 points, the SandP 500 index rose by 0.37% to 7,473.47 points, while the Nasdaq Composite index increased by 0.19% to 26,393.97 points.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, European stock markets also experienced gains, with the FTSE 100 index rising by 0.22% to 10,466.26 points. Germany's DAX index saw an increase of 0.15% to 24,888.56 points, and France's CAC 40 index gained 0.37% to reach 8,115.75 points.

On the currency front, the exchange rate of the euro against the US dollar on global markets decreased by 0.14%, settling at 1.1603 dollars.
