GNAT Committee Chair Highlights Positive Progress in Azerbaijan-Armenia Normalization Process

Baku: We discussed the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process with Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov, Fuat Oktay, Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Trkiye (GNAT), told journalists while visiting the Turkish Martyrs' Cemetery in Baku, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the committee chairman expressed his satisfaction with the developments within the normalization process, noting that they are progressing very positively.

Oktay also highlighted advancements in the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars and Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan projects, emphasizing Azerbaijan's prominent role in oil and gas exports and pipeline transportation. He remarked on the region's richness in natural resources and human capital, underscoring the responsibility to advance Azerbaijan, Trkiye, and the broader Turkic world.

He emphasized the strong relations among Trkiye, Azerbaijan, and Georgia, which reflect potential for future collaboration. Oktay mentioned his upcoming meeting with the Speaker of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament) and a subsequent trilateral meeting involving Azerbaijan, Trkiye, and Georgia.
