Goal is to restore lasting peace in S Caucasus, Erdogan says

“The issue which we pay particular attention to is restoring lasting peace in the South Caucasus,” Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said following the G-20 summit in Rome, Italy, APA’s Turkey bureau reports.

Mr. Erdogan said that negotiations on the establishment of the 6th platform in the South Caucasus are underway: “Let Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia, Iran, Georgia, Armenia take a joint step and create peace in the region. In this regard, Mr. Ilham Aliyev has already offered peace to Armenia. If all these countries are positive, this platform will be created and the region will become a pool of peace.”
