Gold Ranks First Among Azerbaijan’s Top Non-Oil Sector Exports in Early 2026

Baku: Gold was the leading export product in Azerbaijan's non-oil sector during the initial months of 2026. The March edition of the 'Export Review' magazine, published by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications, highlights gold exports amounting to $60.7 million, securing its position at the top of the non-oil export list for January and February.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, hazelnuts were the second most significant export product, with exports valued at $57.4 million. Following hazelnuts, copper ore exports reached $44.6 million, contributing significantly to the non-oil export figures.

The report further details the distribution of non-oil sector exports, with $149.1 million worth of goods exported to Russia, $83.4 million to Trkiye, $77.2 million to Georgia, $67.7 million to Switzerland, and $29 million to Ukraine. These figures underscore the diverse markets for Azerbaijan's non-oil products during the specified period.
