Shamakhi: The Grape and Wine Festival kicked off in Shamakhi on September 19. The two-day festival was co-organized by the Shamakhi District Executive Authority, Abgora restaurant, and the Nasimi Gardens complex in the village of Meysari, Shamakhi district.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the festival is being held for the fifth time with the aim of promoting local grape and wine production. It seeks to increase the export potential of wine products, raise public awareness of the history of viticulture and winemaking in Azerbaijan, and highlight the ongoing work in this field. Additionally, the festival aims to contribute to expanding the region's tourism potential.

The event is taking place on the premises of the viticulture and winemaking complex of 'Shirvan Wines' LLC in Meysari village. It features various brands showcasing their grape products, offering visitors the chance to learn more about viticulture, winemaking, and Azerbaijan's tourism potential. The festival also includes various entertainment and show programs for attendees to enjoy.

Fun-filled activities have been designed for different age groups throughout the day, adding special vibrancy to the festival program. Guests can participate in competitions and quizzes, as well as attend dynamic presentations, interactive shows, and concert programs.

On the opening day, the festival will continue until the evening, featuring performances by popular singers Roza Zargarli, Kazim Jan, and Joseph U.O, along with DJ Kamo. The Grape and Wine Festival will run through September 20.
