Greek PM Congratulates President Ilham Aliyev on Independence Day

Paris: Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has addressed a congratulatory letter to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of Independence Day: APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the letter from the Greek Prime Minister expressed his sincere congratulations and best wishes to both President Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan. Mitsotakis highlighted the strong and dynamic partnership between Greece and Azerbaijan, which is built on mutual respect and constructive cooperation. He noted that while energy continues to be a central aspect of their bilateral relations, he is pleased to see the cooperation between the two nations expanding into new areas of shared interest.

The Greek Prime Minister also emphasized Greece's commitment to further deepening ties with Azerbaijan, guided by international law and principles enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, including respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity. He concluded his letter by wishing the people of Azerbaijan peace, prosperity, and continued progress, while extending the assurances of his highest consideration to President Aliyev.
