Baku: Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic, has extended his congratulations to the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of their Independence Day. In his message, he expressed his best wishes to Azerbaijan and highlighted the strong partnership between Greece and Azerbaijan.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Mitsotakis emphasized the mutual respect and constructive cooperation that characterize the relationship between the two nations. He noted that while energy remains a key aspect of their bilateral relations, there is a steady expansion into new areas of shared interest. The Greek Prime Minister reaffirmed his commitment to deepening ties based on international law and principles outlined in the United Nations Charter, including respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity.
