New york: Indices in the US and European stock markets increased mainly, APA-Economics reports. On October 4, the main indices in the US stock markets experienced growth. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 0.51% to reach 46,758.28 points. The S and P 500 saw a slight increase of 0.01%, settling at 6,715.79 points. Similarly, the NYSE Composite index climbed by 0.54% to 21,725.40 points, while the S and P/TSX Composite surged by 1.03% to 30,471.68 points. Notably, the Nasdaq Composite index was the only one to see a decline, decreasing by 0.28% to 22,780.51 points.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, European stock exchanges also witnessed an overall upward trend. The FTSE 100 index increased by 0.67%, reaching 9,491.25 points. The CAC 40 grew by 0.31% to 8,081.54 points, and the IBEX 35 advanced by 0.57% to 15,585.10 points. Additionally, the Euro Stoxx 50 saw a modest rise of 0.10% to 5,651.71 points. However, the German DAX index experienced a downturn, falling by 0.18% to 24,378.80 points.
