On November 12, the chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Family, Women and Children Hicran Huseynova met with the chairman of the Turkish Parliament’s Committee on Women and Men Equality Tulay Kaynarca.

Press and Public Relations Department of Parliament AZERTAG told, Huseynova counterpart welcomed the relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey, noting that the spirit of true brotherhood. It was noted that Turkey stood by us by providing political and moral support to the 44-day Patriotic War and showed the whole world that this brotherhood will always continue.

It was also noted that very close relations have been established between the two brotherly countries as one nation and two states. The personal friendly relations between President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan play an important role in achieving a high level of unity between our countries.

Hijran Huseynova noted that the Azerbaijani Parliament and the Turkish Grand National Assembly are successfully developing relations between our peoples in accordance with the spirit of relations. It is also very important to increase mutual visits and meetings between our parliaments.

Afterwards, the committees exchanged views, discussed in detail the work done and identified areas for joint action to further strengthen cooperation.
