Baku: Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Hikmat Hajiyev, who also heads the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, visited the grave of Yusif Garabaghi in Bukhara. The visit highlights the enduring connections between Azerbaijan and Central Asia.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Yusif Garabaghi, a notable philosopher and scholar from the 17th century, originally hailed from Karabakh. He significantly contributed to the intellectual and cultural landscape of Central Asia, particularly in Samarkand and Bukhara. In 1619, the ruler of Bukhara, Bahadur Khan, recognized Garabaghi's contributions by constructing a library in his honor and appointing him as its head.

Garabaghi's grave remains in Bukhara, symbolizing the centuries-old link between Karabakh and Bukhara. Hajiyev, in a post on his X account, described this connection as a "bridge of knowledge, culture and friendship spanning centuries," emphasizing the historical ties that continue to unite the regions.
