Hikmet Hajiyev and Colombian Deputy Foreign Minister Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

Baku: Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, engaged in discussions with Juana Esperanza Castro Santamaria, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Colombia, during her visit to Azerbaijan.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Hajiyev highlighted on X that the discussions with Castro Santamaria were productive and centered on enhancing the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Colombia. He noted that the current level of political dialogue is promising and emphasized the potential for expanding collaboration in various sectors including economic and trade, cultural and humanitarian activities, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.

Both nations face challenges related to landmines, and the talks also focused on potential cooperative efforts and the exchange of experiences in this area. Hajiyev expressed gratitude towards the Colombian side for its support in promoting the Spanish language in Azerbaijan, reinforcing the cultural ties between the countries.
