Hikmet Hajiyev Highlights Azerbaijan’s Commitment to Sharing Post-Conflict Recovery Experience

Baku: Azerbaijan is demonstrating its commitment to post-conflict recovery by sharing its experiences and welcoming international collaboration in rebuilding efforts. Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, made this announcement during a panel session titled 'Housing at the Centre of Global Coalitions'. He stated that over 85,000 Azerbaijanis have returned to the Garabagh and East Zangezur regions, engaging in rebuilding their lives and communities.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Hajiyev emphasized Azerbaijan's readiness to both learn from other countries and share its unique experiences in post-conflict recovery. He highlighted the ongoing challenges faced by Azerbaijan and expressed the country's openness to international dialogue and cooperation in reconstruction efforts. Hajiyev underscored the suitability of Azerbaijan as a host for the World Urban Forum, given its active role in addressing global urbanization challenges.

Hajiyev also noted the broader context of global conflicts and their impact on urban areas, stressing Azerbaijan's willingness to share its experiences and realities with the world. He reiterated the importance of international collaboration in addressing the destruction caused by conflicts, positioning Azerbaijan as a willing participant in global recovery and reconstruction initiatives.
