Historic Oil Pumping Station in Kurdamir May Be Added to Cultural Heritage List

Kurdamir: The transmission pumping station of the Baku-Batumi oil pipeline, constructed in 1904 and situated in the Karrar village of the Kurdamir district, is under consideration for inclusion in the list of historical and cultural monuments. This announcement was made by the State Service for the Protection, Development and Restoration of Cultural Heritage in response to an inquiry from APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the facility is currently not part of the list of historical and cultural monuments under state protection. However, due to its historical and architectural importance, it has been registered, and the possibility of adding it to the cultural heritage list will be reviewed in an upcoming meeting of the Expert Council on the Identification of Immovable Cultural Property under the Ministry of Culture.
