Karabakh: Hotels and hotel-type facilities in the Karabakh economic region have generated revenues amounting to 8 million 862 thousand 700 manats from January to September this year.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this marks a significant increase of 60.3% compared to the same period last year.

In terms of specific areas, Khankendi recorded revenues of 458 thousand 200 manats, while the Agjabedi district saw 172 thousand 100 manats, which is 2.8 times less than the previous year. The Aghdam district generated 510 thousand 300 manats, Aghdara district 5 thousand 900 manats, and Barda district 185 thousand 400 manats, which is a 10% increase from the previous year.

In the East Zangezur economic region, exclusively in the Lachin district, hotel and hotel-type facilities generated 2 million 566 thousand manats in revenue during the same period.

Expenses have also seen a rise during this period. The costs related to the production of products and services in Karabakh’s hotels increased by 16.4%, totaling 9 million 392 thousand 700 manats. Specifically, Khankendi saw expenses of 409 thousand 900 manats, Agjabedi district 74 thousand 500 manats (a decrease of 44.9% from the previous year), Aghdara district 17 thousand 100 manats, and Barda district 102 thousand 600 manats (a reduction of 7.7% from the previous year).

In the East Zangezur region, Lachin district reported expenses amounting to 2 million 297 thousand 500 manats.

During the first nine months of the year, the Karabakh economic region’s hotels accommodated 56,108 people, with 53,365 being Azerbaijani citizens and 2,743 foreigners or stateless persons. In Khankendi, 2,071 guests were accommodated, with only one being a foreigner. Agjabedi district hosted 2,004 individuals, including 84 foreigners. Aghdam district exclusively accommodated 3,335 Azerbaijani citizens. Aghdara district hosted 160 locals, while Barda district accommodated 5,689 people, including 11 foreigners. In Shusha district, 40,093 were accommodated, with 2,647 being foreigners. Tartar district accommodated 2,756 Azerbaijani citizens.

In East Zangezur’s Lachin district, 16,259 people were accommodated in hotels, with 16,220 being Azerbaijani citizens and 39 being foreigners or stateless persons.
