Hseyin Bykfirat Strives to Boost Trade Goals Between Trkiye and Azerbaijan

Baku: Hseyin Bykfirat, Chairman of the Board of the Turkish-Azerbaijani Businessmen and Industrialists Public Union, announced efforts to enhance trade relations between Trkiye and Azerbaijan. Bykfirat aims to increase trade turnover between the two countries to $15 billion annually, reflecting the high-level interaction between their leaders.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Bykfirat expressed gratitude towards Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov and Trkiye’s Minister of Trade Omer Bolat for their support in organizing the 2nd Azerbaijan-Trkiye Investment Forum in Baku, scheduled for December 22-23. This event is pivotal in fostering economic collaboration and investment between the two nations.

Highlighting recent trade statistics, Bykfirat noted that the trade turnover between Trkiye and Azerbaijan had surpassed $7 billion in the first three quarters of 2025. He emphasized the importance of attracting major Turkish companies, investors, and holdings to Azerbaijan to further increase this figure and strengthen economic ties.

Bykfirat also described Azerbaijan as ‘the shining star of the region’ and emphasized its role as ‘the most important link in the Middle Corridor.’ He underscored the corridor’s significance in promoting long-term peace and stability in the region, which could further enhance economic cooperation.
