Baku:Human remains belonging to 16 individuals have been recently discovered in the region, according to Akif Guliyev, Head of the Forensic Archaeology Department at the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, Guliyev made this announcement during a panel discussion at the 4th International Conference, which was part of the Baku Dialogue on Missing Persons. He noted that the remains are being collected from the foothills of steep mountains, and their displacement is attributed to natural phenomena and wild animals.
Guliyev mentioned that the team returned from Karabakh three days ago after making this significant discovery.
