Astara: Humanitarian aid dispatched from Russia to Iran has successfully crossed into Iran via the Astara state border checkpoint. This development marks a significant effort in delivering much-needed medical supplies to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the humanitarian aid, which includes a substantial shipment of medicines and medical supplies, was initially transported by Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations. The aid arrived at Lankaran International Airport, where it was subsequently loaded onto trucks belonging to the Iranian Red Crescent Society. These trucks are tasked with transporting the 13 tons of medical supplies across the Azerbaijani border at Astara.
The coordination of the aid transfer highlights the logistical efforts involved in ensuring that the medical supplies reach their intended destination. After completing the necessary procedures at the Astara checkpoint, the aid was officially transferred into Iran, underscoring the collaborative international effort to support Iran's healthcare needs.
