Baku: The universal dry cargo vessel 'Huseyn Javid,' owned by the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company CJSC (ASCO), a subsidiary of AZCON Holding, has returned to service following extensive dry-docking repairs.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the repairs took place at the Zigh Ship Repair and Construction Yard and were completed on schedule. The comprehensive repair process included maintenance of the vessel's main and auxiliary engines and hatch covers, along with the replacement of the diesel generators. The vessel also underwent piping installation, electrical work, automation, and hull-welding operations.

In addition, the vessel's underwater and above-water sections, decks, and hatch covers were thoroughly cleaned and repainted. Now refurbished, the vessel is ready to resume its duties. Measuring 108.33 meters in length and 16.74 meters in width, the 'Huseyn Javid' can carry up to 5,200 tonnes of cargo.
