ICDO and GCC Leaders Discuss Future Cooperation

Abu dhabi: Secretary-General of the International Civil Defense Organization (ICDO), Arguj Kalantarli, met with Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi on February 1, the ICDO told APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the meeting focused on evaluating the existing cooperation between the ICDO and the GCC, highlighting the importance of joint initiatives and coordinated activities among member states. It was emphasized that all GCC member countries are full members of the ICDO, providing a foundation for implementing joint projects and executing capacity-building programs. Additionally, the organization of professional development and training activities was discussed as part of the cooperation with relevant institutions.

During the discussions, both sides exchanged views on mutual interests, including the ICDO's ongoing humanitarian activities and projects conducted under its humanitarian mandate. The meeting concluded with both parties agreeing on the successful continuation and expansion of their cooperation. They expressed confidence that the partnership would develop positively and be mutually beneficial.
