In January, 21 subjects were denied food safety registration

In January this year, the Agency for Food Safety of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AFS) denied registration of food safety to 21 subjects, which is up by 2.5 times from January last year.

Note that the AFS refusal for 12 subjects is explained as being due to non-compliance with appropriate sanitary norms and standards. At that, appeals of 7 subjects were denied due to their non-functioning.

Also, the wholesale object of “Endless Goods” LLC did not pass registration in the food safety system for a banal reason: the company did not provide AFS employees with an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the object.

In January, the registration of food safety of 16 companies and 43 individuals engaged mainly in the wholesale and retail sale of food, catering and manufacturing was also canceled.
